Ingredients
for meat empanadas
- 1 Kg. of ground beef
- 1 Kg. onions
- 4 eggs
- 1 red bell peper
- 1 green bell peper
- Green olives
- Salt
- Pepper
Steps
- Chopp the onions and cook over olive oil on medium-low heat for about 10 min.
- Add the chopped pepers and season with a little bit of salt.
- Increase heat to medium and add the ground beef.
- Boil the eggs.
- Remove the beef from the fire and let it cool.
- Once cold, add chopped olives and hard-boiled eggs.
- Let the mixture sit for a while (the longer the better as the meat gets tastier).
- Take the compleately cooled mixture and with a spoon fill an empanada disk.
- Do your favorite repulgue.
- Take to the oven until the dough is golden brown.
- Let them cool for a bit outside the oven.
